Detroit Metropolitan Airport — Status

The Michigan Department of Transportation's "Restore I-94" construction project — which will extend from Wayne Road to Schaefer Road — is currently in progress. Scheduled for completion by 2029, this three-year initiative includes pavement replacement, bridge repairs and the construction of a new interchange at Ecorse Road.

Work continues in the McNamara Terminal to modernize the restrooms in Concourses A, B and C, as well as the Ground Transportation Center. The redesigned restrooms feature upgraded lighting, fixtures, flooring, wall tile and baby changing stations, as well as provide additional accessibility for customers.
